Marivette González Rivera
Keynote Speaker | Resilience & Leadership Strategist
The legal profession is built on service, excellence, and responsibility. Yet too often, the people entrusted to lead others are doing so while carrying burnout, pressure, isolation, and an identity shaped solely by achievement.
Success was never meant to come at the expense of the person achieving it.
Through research, storytelling, and practical leadership frameworks, Marivette González Rivera helps legal organizations redefine success by developing healthier leaders, strengthening workplace culture, and creating environments where people and performance thrive together.
Drawing on three decades of experience in high-stakes leadership, hundreds of conversations with legal professionals, and evidence-based research, her work transforms difficult conversations into practical strategies that help leaders lead without losing themselves.
Because stronger leaders build stronger organizations.

One Belief: Success Should Not
Cost You Yourself.
Marivette González Rivera is a keynote speaker, leadership strategist, attorney, and founder of MGR Driven, where she helps the legal profession redefine success by developing healthier leaders, stronger cultures, and workplaces where people thrive.
A first-generation college graduate, Marivette earned her law degree at night while raising her son and daughter as a single mother. She went on to build a thriving law firm and a career spanning more than three decades in some of the legal profession's highest-stakes environments. That journey shaped her belief that success should never require losing yourself in the process.
From serving as a Senior High Risk Probation Officer on one of the nation's first GPS offender monitoring initiatives, to leading criminal justice task forces, practicing law, founding her own law firm, and advising leaders across the legal profession, Marivette has spent her career helping people navigate complexity, responsibility, and change.
She has delivered keynote presentations and leadership workshops for law firms, bar associations, universities, leadership conferences, and organizations committed to developing healthier leaders and stronger workplace cultures. She has also appeared as a bilingual legal commentator on Univision and Telemundo and as a recurring guest co-host on Speak Out TV.
But what transformed her work wasn't a title—it was listening.
Through hundreds of conversations with attorneys, judges, law students, and legal leaders, she recognized recurring themes: burnout, identity, purpose, belonging, leadership, and the pressure to keep proving ourselves. Those conversations led her to research the profession more deeply and develop practical frameworks that help legal organizations create healthier leaders, stronger cultures, and workplaces where people thrive.
Today, through MGR Driven, Marivette combines research, storytelling, and practical leadership strategies to help the legal profession lead without losing itself.

Leading Without Losing Yourself
Building Resilient Leaders and Thriving Organizations
The legal profession demands excellence, resilience, and sound judgment. When success comes at the expense of health, purpose, or identity, the cost is felt not only by individuals but by teams, clients, and entire organizations.
Drawing on three decades of experience in high-stakes legal leadership, research, and practical leadership frameworks, Marivette equips legal professionals to lead with greater clarity, resilience, and sustainable excellence.

Beyond Impostor Syndrome:
Ejecting the Inner Critic from the Driver's Seat
High achievers often appear confident on the outside while privately questioning whether they are enough. Left unchecked, impostor syndrome can lead to chronic overproving, perfectionism, and a success that never feels satisfying.
Built around Marivette's The Not Enough Trap™ framework, this keynote helps participants recognize the patterns that keep them stuck, reconnect with their intrinsic worth, and develop the confidence to lead from a place of confidence instead of constant self-doubt.
Participants will leave with:
• A deeper understanding of the difference between impostor syndrome and chronic overproving
• Practical tools to build confidence rooted in self-worth rather than external validation
• Strategies to lead with authenticity, resilience, and purpose

Before the Profession Defines You:
Building an Unshakeable Identity from the Inside Out
Success begins long before the first job, title, or promotion. The mindset, beliefs, and habits developed early in a career shape not only the professional you become, but also the person you become.
Built around Marivette's MIRA Framework, this keynote helps students and emerging professionals develop a resilient mindset, strengthen their identity, and define success on their own terms before the profession defines it for them so they can build meaningful careers without losing themselves.
Participants will leave with:
• A resilient mindset for navigating challenges with confidence
• A stronger sense of identity rooted in purpose rather than achievement
• Practical tools to lead with authenticity, resilience, and intention from the very beginning

Helping high-achievers break free from the Not Enough Trap and lead with sustainable excellence.
