Before becoming an attorney, Marivette worked in the criminal justice system as a Senior High Risk Probation Officer, leading on task forces and managing high-stakes caseloads. This early experience shaped her ability to stay steady under pressure and lead diverse teams with clarity.

As a first-generation college student and single mother, she pursued her education at night while raising two small children. Her journey has been marked by divorce, rebuilding, remarriage, entrepreneurship, and moments of both loss and renewal. It is proof that determination and clarity can open new paths forward. She knows first-hand the challenges of building something from the ground up: finding your voice, failing and starting over, and discovering the joy that comes from leading with purpose even in the most difficult times.

 

Today, she shares life with her husband and their blended family, finding joy in both her personal and professional purpose. While Marivette continues her work as an attorney through a separate law practice, MGR Driven is dedicated solely to speaking, coaching, and leadership development. Built on the foundation of Mindset, Grit, and Resilience, her mission is to help leaders rise with confidence, embrace their brilliance, and lead with heart.
